Fabricate

The different phases of fabrication are mainly based on a continuous feedback-loop between a parametric approach and a craftsmanship one. Material properties and fabrication restraints of the available milling machine always inform the final layout in multiple ways. To obtain a joint figure as thin as possible, steps of radius and fillet checks or nesting and measuring analysis are often addressed.

When a design get selected, the algorithm developed can automatically translate the three-dimensional data onto two-dimensional planes. Subsequently the orientation of all the components into a clear planar organization is obtained by a process of nesting. Finally the conversion of all the geometrical outlines are easily transferred into the cutting and engraving codes of the CAD/CAM software.
